ASSURANCE SERVICES
Kollath & Associates, CPA LLC wants to provide your company with assurance services, which include audited financial statements or agreed-upon procedures (which is related to specific components of a financial statement, rather than the entire financial statement).

Audits
Provide the highest level of assurance on the accuracy of the financial statements, giving you, your board of directors and/or financial institution comfort that your financial statements are “fairly presented”.
Test account balances through independent verification with third parties or extensive review of internal documentation and calculations.
Review internal controls to the extent required for an audit, but not to the extent of Sarbanes Oxley Act Section 404.  May result in the benefit of recommendations for improvement of internal controls.
Are the most expensive option for an independent view of your financial statements.
Require stringent independence for the CPA firm, in addition to educational and peer review requirements.
Allow us to provide an independent view of the financial health of your company communicated through a recommendation letter.
Require Kollath, CPAs to be independent.

Agreed upon procedures
An agreed-upon procedures engagement is one in which a CPA is engaged by a client to issue a report of findings based on specific procedures performed on subject matter. The client engages the CPA to assist specified parties in evaluating subject matter or an assertion as a result of a need or needs of the specified parties.
Less expensive than an audit, may or may not be more expensive than a review or compilation.
Examples include:
> inspecting documents for evidence of transactions or specific characteristics
> comparing documents, schedules, or analysis with specific characteristics
> performing agreed-upon mathematical computations
> confirming specified information with third parties
Require Kollath, CPAs to be independent.
